Claude Code is Anthropic’s agentic coding tool for working directly with a software project. It can inspect a codebase, follow dependencies across files, make changes and run the commands a team already uses to develop and verify its product.
Best used with real project context
Claude Code is useful when the answer depends on more than a single snippet. That includes understanding an unfamiliar feature, diagnosing a bug across several layers, carrying out a refactor or implementing a change that touches content, components and tests together.
We give the agent a defined task, the project’s own conventions and an explicit verification path. That makes the output easier to review and reduces the risk of a locally correct change causing an issue elsewhere.
A tool within the engineering process
Claude Code can accelerate investigation and execution, but product decisions and final accountability still sit with the team. We treat it as part of a disciplined development workflow rather than a substitute for architecture, review or testing.
How we use Claude Code
We use Claude Code for codebase investigation, feature work, refactoring, debugging, test coverage and technical documentation.
