Training Connect Brand & National Training Marketplace

Background
Finding nationally recognised training in Australia often means moving between government registers, individual Registered Training Organisation websites and course pages that present information in different ways. Learners and workplaces can struggle to understand which course fits their needs, who offers it and what to do next.
Training Connect was created to make that journey clearer. The platform needed to bring course discovery, RTO information, comparison and enquiries into one coherent marketplace while preserving the important distinction between an independent discovery service and the accredited organisations responsible for training delivery.
The Challenge
The project had to create a recognisable national brand and serve three different audiences—individual learners, workplaces and RTO partners—without making the experience feel complex.
Key challenges included:
- Creating a clear identity that could represent training across different industries and audiences.
- Structuring nationally recognised courses, unit codes and provider information consistently.
- Making search useful for both plain-language needs and exact course or RTO queries.
- Helping users compare options without obscuring official training information.
- Creating clear enquiry and partnership workflows with appropriate privacy and compliance boundaries.
- Building a scalable foundation for new courses, organisations, guides and marketplace features.
A Recognisable Australian Training Brand
New Site Agency created a confident identity around the promise of “Connecting Australia to accredited training”. The bold uppercase wordmark makes the service immediately legible, while the lighter “Connect” treatment introduces movement and a clear relationship between the two words.
The identity system uses a focused blue, green and navy palette with white applications for contrast. This gives Training Connect enough flexibility to move between digital interfaces, campaign artwork, partner communications and course content while remaining recognisable.
From Identity to Campaign
The brand was designed to work with real training environments rather than as a standalone logo. Clear colour fields, direct typography and practical imagery create a system that can speak to people looking for accredited training across construction, infrastructure and other Australian industries.
Designing the Marketplace Experience
New Site Agency designed and developed a focused marketplace experience around the decisions users actually need to make.
The homepage combines a prominent search experience with direct pathways to browse courses, find an organisation or compare training. Course listings explain the recognised training product, surface available organisations and connect users to a structured enquiry flow. RTO pages and partnership content give providers a clear route to participate while keeping responsibility for enrolment, delivery, assessment and certification explicit.
The visual identity carries into the interface through confident blue actions, a deep navy supporting colour, large direct typography and consistent information hierarchy. The result feels connected to the brand while keeping dense training information easy to scan.
Course Discovery and Comparison
Comparison was designed as a core marketplace feature rather than a secondary utility. Users can select recognised courses, review official product information side by side and move into a relevant enquiry path without losing context.
The information architecture supports:
- Search by course name, unit code or RTO.
- Nationally recognised course detail pages.
- Registered Training Organisation listings.
- Side-by-side course comparison.
- Individual and workplace enquiry workflows.
- RTO partnership registration and verification.
- Educational guides and marketplace news.
Technical SEO, structured content, accessible interaction patterns and clear links to official government records were built into the platform from launch.
A Consistent Supporting Experience
The same visual system extends beyond the key discovery screens. Navigation, search, enquiries, editorial content and the footer all use the brand palette and typographic hierarchy consistently, giving the marketplace a coherent experience from first search through to an enquiry or partner pathway.
Key Deliverables
- Brand positioning and visual identity.
- Wordmark, colour and campaign system.
- Marketplace strategy and product information architecture.

- Course, RTO, search and comparison experiences.
- Structured enquiry and RTO partnership forms.

The Outcome
Training Connect launched as a clear, production-ready marketplace where people can search for nationally recognised courses, review provider information, compare options and enquire about availability.
The project gives Training Connect both a distinctive national identity and a digital platform built around real training decisions. Australian RTOs have a structured way to register interest, publish verified marketplace listings and connect existing enquiry or booking pathways, while the modular foundation is ready to support a growing course catalogue, new provider relationships and richer discovery tools over time.
